FLICKR

One of my goals this year is to capture a daily pic of my little Sophia until she is one years old. My husband and I started this from day one. We've missed a few days so not all pics are accurate and of course there were too many good pics for Christmas I added about a week's worth. The idea is to upload her daily pics into a Flickr account or you could also use Photobucket. We want to put it all into a book and give it to her as a gift when she gets older. Hopefully we'll keep the tradition alive with baby #2 (but that's not for a while)!

If you're interested check it out!

Welcome 2010!

I know I'm a few days late but here are my goals for 2010 (in no particular order)!

1. Write in my blog at least once a week.

2. Read through the devotional Daily Guideposts 2010.

3. Read through the bible once (this is my Women of Faith Bible New Century Version)

4. Stick to my $20 a week craft budget.

Headband Mania

Headbands are a fun craft and a great gift. Check out That's So Cuegly's blog I was inspired to do my own. They didn't come out nearly as great as I'd like them to but it was fun trying. I gave the headbands to my sister as a Christmas present. Thank goodness she liked them! This was part of my $20 craft project. I used the gold material and black tule. I already had the headbands and buttons and of course I used the glue sticks to put it all together.

If you like this then you'll love my friend Cierra's Etsy Shop! She did an incredible job take some time to check out her blog too!
*Stay tuned to see what I end up doing with my wreath and glittery picks! I'm still thinking about it!*

Stretching the Buck - Part 2

Okay...after my most recent post I mentioned a $20 a week allowance. I spent $9.14 and a few days later spent $9.95 on the following.

Now off to see what I can make out of my $20 purchases!

Stretching the Buck

Since I've had my baby I went from working full-time to part-time. I'm definitely happy that I've decided to spend more of my time with her at home but the bank account isn't so happy. It's been a stretch adjusting to our new paycheck so I decided to challenge myself. I'm giving myself a $20 a week allowance! My husband was both shocked and happy to hear this idea especially since it came from my lips. So my weekly challenge will be what GREAT finds can I buy with $20 or what GREAT craft or project can I create with only $20? I first heard this concept on a fellow blogger's site, That's So Cuegly. If you've never visited her blog you should! She has so many creative ideas and as a stay at home mom she challenges herself to do the same.

So far this week I've spent $9.14....and no I'm not done shopping. I went to Walmart and didn't find everything I needed so hopefully I'll get a chance to hit another store before the week is over. I have two ideas brewing in my head so we'll see what the end of the week brings me! Here's a sneak peek of what I've already purchased. Wish me luck!

Burlap $.74, Gold Material $1.60 & Black Tule $.56

Ignore the highlighted portion...it was a friend's birthday gift!
